Hero as Warrior

My name is Alex Moore. I'm 15 years old and I attend John Horn Highschool. Hero as a Warrior best describes me because I have had to go through many tough challenges throughout my life. At times it got very hard and I felt like I was going to give up. I play basketball and it alone has been a major challenge that I have had to face. I've played for years and each year it gets even harder. I've lost and gained friends along the way. Some people were not suitable for me to be around anymore. It was hard to let them go, in a way, but in the end I know it was what was best for me. I'm sad about the ones I lost, but happy and thankful for the ones I've gained. Being a hero and a warrior is tough, no doubt about that, but I know that I have to keep pushing and fight through. Through all my challenges I have found who I really am, and just how strong I can be.

The Quest

I'm on a journey in search of knowledge. I'm smart, but there are tons of things that I have yet to learn about. I strive to be a vet; it's what I love to do. Working with animals is something I'm really good at. Recently I started working at a vet clinic as an intern. Its the most rewarding job I've ever had. I don't get paid, but the time I spend doing something I love is enough for me. I know becoming a vet will take a lot of hard work and even more studying, but I know I can do it. I work hard in school now so that when I graduate I can go to Texas A&M University to study to become a vet.

The Mentor

My parents are my mentors. They watch over me and give me great advice. They protect me and love me for who I am. When things get really tough, my parents are always there. When I fall they are there to pick me back up. They tell me what's best for me even when I don't agree with it. I trust them and look to them for guidance. I love them very much and am grateful for all that they have done for me.

The Threshold Guardian

My dad is my Threshold Gaurdian. He pushes me in every activity that I'm in, whether that is school or basketball. He keeps me in line and makes sure I'm doing the best that I can. He makes it impossible for me not to give one hundred percent in everything. Sometimes the tests that he makes me go through are hard, and sometimes seem like they are too much for me to handle, but her encourages me to keep going and move forward. He tests my mental and physical ability with every test.

Shadow

My Shadow is a person, but we're going to call this person Bob because I don't want to use this person's real name. Bob is someone I have known for a very long time and someone I thought was supposed to be a good a friend of mine. But a good friend is something Bob is not. Whenever I had a bad day, or things just weren't going good with me, I would go to Bob. But Bob would never listen to me or let me vent my feelings about the tough situation I was going through. Bob never stood up for me either. Whenever someone was on my case or getting in my face, Bob would just sit there and not say anything. I would look to Bob for help, a word interjection or something, but I never got a word. Bob was like the demon on my shoulder, always praising my failure instead of building me up. Bob is my mortal enemy and I will never forget what he's done to me.

Lauren My Trickster

My trickster is Lauren Lopez. She is one of my best friends. She's really cool and when we're together she constantly makes me laugh. We laugh at just about everything! Whenever I'm feeling down she knows exactly how to cheer me up. She is amazing at making me feel better after a long hard day at school. I can talk to her about anything and her hugs are the best! I love spending time with Lauren; it's so much fun. I could never be without Lauren. If I was to lose her I would never be the same. There are no words to explain how lucky I am to have met someone like her. She is a great friend and I will always go to her after a horrible day. She gives me the strength to keep going when I feel like I have nothing left to give. I love her to death and without her I just would't be me. I love you Lauren!

My Dearest Loyal Companion

My loyal companion would be none other than my best friend Monica. I met her in the eighth grade and at first we didn't get along very well. We fought all the time and we constantly argued. But now everything has changed. My freshman year of high school wouldn't have been half as much fun without her! When we're together we have the best time, and laugh constantly. We hardly ever fight now and we stand up for eachother in tough situations. We tell eachother everything and without her, life just wouldn't be the same. Whenever I have a bad day, she is the first person I want to talk to. She cheers me up and let's me know everything is going to be alright. I love her so much and she means the world to me. Without Monica I wouldn't be who I am today.

Physical and Mental Obstacle

Basketball is my physical and mental obstacle. Basketball pushes me to the limit withevery practice. It takes hard work and dedication to play this sport and it challenges me with every game. Basketball test my mental and physical ability. I sometimes get frustrated because I feel like I'm not good enough to play basketball, I can't seem to let it go. It gets very difficult to keep going, but it's like it's in my blood; something I just can't separate myself from.

The Monsters

The monsters are the negative people in my life. They constantly want me to fail. They discourage me and would really appreciate it if I were to just give up. I can't seem to get away from them, they're there everywhere I turn. I can't escape. Their constant negativity, and unwilling understanding of who I am, drives me insane. Sometimes I wish they would disappear, but I know that God put them there to make me stronger. There's nothing they can say or do to break me down or make me give up. I won't let them beat me.

Love

Love is a very funny thing. It tricks people, plays with their emotions, and breaks people's hearts. I've experienced love in many different ways. Relationships are always tough, whether it be friends or boys. Frienships are difficult, but very fun. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really even cut out for the whole frienship thing. Of course I argue and fight with my friends, but that's what people do when they love eachother right? I've only had one boyfriend and we're still together. He's like one of my bestfriends, but we fight all the time. I wouldn't say that I love him because when it comes to love in that sense I really don't know what that is. Hopefully one day I'll get the opportunity to find out what "I love you" really means.

My Wonderful Band Of Companions

These are the people that have kept me going and have never let me give up. They do everything for me and keep me laughing non stop. They are the most amazing people you could ever meet. If you ever get the chance to meet them, you would understand what I mean. My bad days turn to good when I'm with them. I'll start with Monica. You read about her in my loyal companion post. To make a long story short she's my best friend and means the absolute world to me. It's crazy how much I love her. She's my shoulder to cry on and I need her more than anyone on this earth! Next is my Trickster Lauren. You read about her too. She is one of my best friends, and even though I've only known her for a short period of time it's like I've known her forever! I love her so much. Her hugs are the best and makes my cloudy days shine bright with the sun. Chanie Work. There's so many things I can say about her! I've known this girl since forever! Me and Chanie have a blast when we're together. We laugh at just about everything. We have so much fun and she makes me feel much better with a good laugh. Niyat Mulugheta! Niyat knows me better than anyone on this planet. She's been there for me more times than I can even count. She is an amazing friend and is halarious! Niyat's been with me through thick and thin and I thank her for everything she's done for me. Taylor Tramel! Taylor is the coolest person ever! She's the most layed back person you'll ever meet. Taylor makes everything fun! Going to the movies, and especially watching Twilight, are some of my best memories! Taylor's just the best! My Cassidy. Me and Cass have only known eachother for a short period of time, but it doesn't feel that way. Cass is amazing and one of the best friends I could ever ask for. We may fight and argue but at the end of the day one thing is certain, I love her very much. Without Cass being there everyday school would be just plain boring. Cassidy is fun and is constantly making me laugh! She means the absolute world to me and without her I'd die.

All these people make my world go round. I love them all so very much. They don't realize how much they mean to me and how much I appreciate them giving me the opportunity to get to know each and every one of them. I'm so lucky to have gotten the chance to get to know them.
